Malaysia's Ashley Lau set to tee it up at Maybank Championship following career-best finish on Epson Tour

on

Malaysia's Ashley Lau is gearing up for her second appearance at the LPGA Maybank Championship this October, following a strong close to her 2024 Epson Tour season with a solo second-place finish at the Epson Tour Championship.

Lau finished 31st in the Epson Tour's Race for the Card standings this year, an improvement from her 56th-place ranking in 2023.

With a stronger season behind her, Lau is now focused on making an impact at the Maybank Championship, where she'll join fellow Malaysians, Liyana Durisic, Durriyah Damian, Kelly Tan, and amateur Mirabel Ting to shine in front of the home crowd.

In her 17 starts this season, the Epson Tour Championship marked her only top-10 finish, her best result on the tour so far. Earlier in the year, she posted a T11 at the IOA Championship and a T13 at the Tuscaloosa Toyota Classic.

The Sarawakian also claimed her first professional victory at the Vic Open in February and made her Olympic debut at Paris 2024, finishing in a tie for 55th.
